Halloween Owl Pancakes
This delicious breakfast is something I would rush out of bed for. I know there is a pancake featured with our Halloween Fruit Owl. The fruit is supposed to represent a substitute for butter or syrup. Although, you could exchange it for a slice of grapefruit or orange. I love this dish in particular because of the wide variety of fruits included. You could use a mandarin for your Jack O’Lantern bag, apples for wings and your broom, bananas, and blueberries for eyes, and let us not forget a plum to create your hat. This tasty owl could also be used as a fun dessert.
Halloween Strawberry Tongue Apple Monsters
These googly-eyed healthy Halloween strawberry tongue apple monsters are fun, tasty, and easy to customize. You first take an apple and slice it into thin slices half being 1/3 of an inch wide and the rest 1/2 and inch wide. Paste peanut butter on the bottom apple piece and place one full-length strawberry slither on top. Then take the top piece and cut the skinned long side and cut it at a 30° angle. You can use individual oats or nuts for the teeth and place either candy eyeballs or cheese and raisins to create the googly-eyes. This healthy Halloween party snack is fun for kids of all ages.
Cute Owl Halloween Fruit Snack
Being a lover of oatmeal, this Cute Owl Halloween Fruit Snack is right up my alley. It’s that perfect balance of savory and sweet. I love the blackberry feathers. The eyes are made from banana slices and are topped with dark grapes, you could substitute blueberries here also. Mangoes are one of my favorite foods and have been used for the beak and talons.
Yogurt Covered Date Monsters
This is one of the easiest Halloween fruit snacks to make. Firstly you insert long skewers into each one of the dates. You then finish them off by drizzling melted white chocolate over the dates. You could supplement the chocolate for yogurt as a healthier alternative. The eyes are made with dark, melted chocolate. Once you have done this, place it in the refrigerator to set. I would recommend using a mason jar when presenting this tasty Halloween snack.
Little Tangerine Spiders
Little Tangarine Spiders can be created in under 30 seconds. You will need 3 tangerines for each spider. Two whole ones will be used for the head and body. The last one will be separated into individual pieces and arranged for the legs. Use candy eyeballs for his googly eyes. Adorable!
Banana Ghosts
How cool are these banana ghosts! Bananas already have a wayward shape making them the perfect choice to emulate spooky ghosts. These ghosts have dark chocolate for the eyes and mouth. You could supplement this with raisins. If you do go with the chocolate I would suggest using Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers. They are delicious.
Lychee Eyeball Vampire Juice
I wanted to include a healthy drink option to this list of Halloween fruit snacks. This one is super simple, you take one lychee and place a blueberry into it. Then secure the two by sliding a vintage skewer through them. Any red juice will do, but I personally like pomegranate juice. Complete the drink by balancing the impaled eyeball across the top of the glass. Very tasty!
Pear Witch Coven
This Pear Witch Coven is a fun way to create many different characters. You could keep the accessories very simple or go way over the top. All you need are pears, small witches hats, eyeball candies, and some polyester fiber filling for the hair.
Kiwi Fruit Monsters
These Kiwi Fruit Monsters are incredibly quick and easy to make. All you have to do is peel off the skin, partially slice 3 times horizontally to make 4 sections. Then move them slightly in opposing directions, place a strawberry slither in the bottom incision. You can place either candy eyeballs or small marshmallows with a drop of chocolate on them for the eyes.
Orange Fruit Witches
Not only are these Tangerine Witches a great Halloween fruit snack, but they are also a fun Halloween activity for kids. You will see a standard Jack O’Lantern face on these tangerines, but you could experiment and see what you come up with. This could also be a fun family activity and a great way to encourage kids to like their fruit snacks.
